The Chen Style Taijiquan Li-Hua Qiang (Pear-Flower Spear) is usually studied at the advanced level. This rare form is rooted in the ancient northern spear techniques used by the military of that era. Chen style spear advances the practitioner's skill in fa jing, the relaxed explosive release of power typical of Chen Style Taijiquan. Master Ren Guang-Yi is one of the premier students of Grandmaster Chen Xiaowang. He has devoted his energies to the practice and teaching of classical Chen boxing throughout the United States and abroad.
