Willow Leaf Saber
This is a remarkable sword that comes with a heart shaped hand guard, with sharply curved scabbard matching the wide tip at the blade. This is a fastidious and matchless piece for the true corrector! The approximate time the sword was made dates to the early period of the Ching dynasty. [1727 – 1800] Two fullers, wider one runs the length of the blade which has a gentle curve near the tip. Blade has light pitting and discoloration with one shallow nick in the hardened edge near the tip. Fittings are engraved brass with Tong dynasty style dragon motif. The guard is an unusual heart shape. Scabbard and hilt are finished in a dark brown ‘cracked’ lacquer. The scabbard has a sharply curved tip. Overall Length: 35 inches
