i was wondering what would good training methods be for nother shaolin?

The WLE video tape series for Northern Shaolin is extremely good. If you don't have a training partner, then practicing the forms is great. If you do have a partner, then practice the applications of the forms.

thank you! i am 5'8 and also was wondering if northern shaolin would be a big challenge for me. i have heard that it is well taught if you are tall

considering 5 8" is a good bit taller than avarage for the chinese, i think it should be fine. As long as u work hard constantly at any martial art, size shouldnt matter (to such an extent)

I'm 5.7 1/2 just what is the average height of the Northern Chinese?

I've seen them as tall as 6'5". But I'm guessing the average height for someone coming from the Northern parts of China is between 6 feet to 6 feet 3 inches.

The average height for some coming out of Southern China is betwwen 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 7 inches.

I'm surprised they they'd be so tall,must have something to do with climate,and diet as well as genetics.
