If doing privates there is no cost for the group lessons. If you mean small group privates, it depends on the size. If you mean just doing the regular group lessons and not doing privates, this is not possible unless you go through regular enrollment. Currently this is $256.50 per quarter.

Group classes are only available through either regular tuition (3 months at a time) or as a free bonus while doing private lessons. There are no drop in class rates.

Hi all

My sifu from Scotland is coming back over in October/November. Be sure to give him an extra hard time!! (bwahaha!!)

I was speaking to him the other day about maybe coming over myself in the next year or two and he thought it was a great idea as we could share some accomodation costs. I'm going to start sweet talking my wife now so that she comes to terms with it by then. A few new handbags and pairs of shoes should do the trick!!

Not long now....not.....long......now......

Cheers

You must be referring to Graham. It will be good to see him again. Hey just for a laugh, try something for me to see if he remembers his previous visit...

In your thickest Scottish accent say "Hello William, I'm your uncle Argile." If he laughs tell him that Jason, Onassis, and Nathan send their regards.

Yup, it's Graham.

I will do my best with your quote (possibly tomorrow when I'm drunk) and see what his reaction is.....

Probably a blank stare.......and a severe bout of impromptu da sam sing....

Cheers

ps HSF, a Schnieder against a Heinie any day of the week! Maybe a Bittburger Pils, but not a Schnieder Weisse in im gross tasch. ahhhh yaahh baby.

Hi guys

Looks like Graham will definitely be coming over in November.
Shame I can't join him this time but next year may be possible.....

Forgot about the "uncle Argyle" quote but will try it at my next class. Heh heh

nothing would be more of a honor to me then to train with the great sifu wing lam.................but i fear i might never come to the point in my martial life that i would have the skill nor capital to train with him(i could afrod it but not with out neglateing other issues since i would have to pay for the flight over there as well as the lessions) maybe one day i can........or maybe i will save up and go on the next tour of china. i guess ill just buy some videos from the school till then. oh btw this is my first post here, my name is bryan and i have trained in tkd(2 years) hikido(1 year) jujitsu(dont remeber what style....but i trained in it at the same time as hikido 1 year) and a refined form of amirican karate that was short of like kick boxing. i had given up on martail arts for some time for personal resions. but i think i might give the chinese arts a try, most the kung fu sites i looked at where guffy and i could tell they where being ran bye kids that saw something on a movie somewhere, but i have heard of sifu before and i hear he is good.......realy good. so i will try my best to gain a understanding of these arts and put aside a fund to go over there in a few years.

Good Luck Xelous. Train hard and pay attention to detail. If possible, get a training partner because you will both see things slightly differently and it's those differences that can bring out the details.

And of course, ask questions here.

thanks ^_^ oh small qustion, would takeing a privet lession with sifu wing lam give me the chance to spar him? i only ask becuse it would be a great honer to get my but kicked bye such a reputable fighter. even though i wont be able to go over there for a few years, it would be cool to have something like that to look forward to.

Rephrase: Can I pay $120/hr to spar with sifu?
Short Answer: NO.

Long Answer: It's not that sifu won't touch hands with you or prove to you he got the goods but a first time student coming in and wanting to "go at it" is dis-respectful at best.

Also, it's not worth his time. After studying for some time with Sifu maybe he would be willing to work on your actual fighting techniques.

Maybe after that time, you'd realize that it's not the best way for you to learn. See story about Iron Palm in the other forum.

Private lessons are a chance to get hands on correction from someone who truely understands the art. Read the experiences of UltimateRockLee in the "basics" thread of his time with brother "O" in CT. It's an hour you can look forward to and you will get your butt kicked; just not the way you think.

disclaimer: I'm expressing my views as a long time student of Sifu and a HG instructor. I do not speak for him especially in a matter like this
