About Making a Trip to the Dojo

I don't plan on doing it any time soon, but I am wondering what the cost would be to train with Sifu for say, a week? Private lessons mixed with class lessons.

I'm very intrested in that Ha Say Fu stuff.. but I believe I Should do a lot of training before I come visiting you guys in USA
But if I ever come to USA i'd like to take a little practise (say 4 - 6 hours a day) at your place =)

So .. I am sorry but I forgot to ask him today. We are trying to get a new business line up by Tuesday and had a lot to do. I'll remember and ask him on Monday.

We have had a lot of different students come train with us in the past. Students not only living in the USA but from Scotland, Italy and middle Europe. All have studied from the tapes and them come to California to have Sifu refine their movement. I think that this is great but an added benefit is that we, at the school, get to meet everyone and make new friends!

I do not remember now ...... I was 18 then so it has to be over 30 years. My Dad was in the American Air Force and we were stantion in the UK for 4 years. I was in Germany for a week playing baseball agenst other American Air bases.

My Greatgrand Mother (my Oma) imigrated to the US from Germany in 1905. My Great Great Great Grand Father was the first one to bring Carosels to America. His name was Densel. ..... I guess I have a lot of German in me!

All I rememeber from Germany (Munich and Koln) was these HUGE glasses the beer came in. OK, might seem like a wimp but I'm a little asian guy and my co-workers seemed bent on filling me up (literally) with beer.

I'm sure I'm not going to win any points with Pasch or the other Germans but I have to say, the best beer I had in Europe was Heineken in Amsterdam. I truely believe they keep the best stuff in country and export all the seconds (or fifths...) Can't find that beer outside of Holland. Or maybe it's just that a good beer is needed to wash out all that preserved herring

Private lessons with Sifu lam cost $120/hour. Often we'll have people who come from all over the US and from other countries come and train with him. Typically, someone (or a group) will come for a week, take 3-5 private lessons, and jump into the Northern and Southern classes for no extra charge. Joining the regular classes can be done only by those staying for a while and getting multiple privates. The tai chi class is the exception to this as that class is not open for drop in. Most recently we had a Hung Gar student visit us from Switzerland who stayed for about two weeks and took about 15 lessons or so. It was great to have him here.
