I never found racism funny even when in the context of a joke. I think someones race should not become the subject of another's jokes, no matter what people say, it's disrespectful. Of course, everyone's entitled to their opinions.
Well, I hate to say it but he is right as far as most practitioners of these arts go.
Shaolin Kung Fu has lost most of it's combat application and turned into acrobatic ballet these days, even in China. There is a series on Youtube called Shaolin Journey, these 4 kids go to the Shaolin Temple to study Kung Fu. What they find are a bunch of ballet dancers and acrobats who do backflips and flying kicks and what's taught there has very little to do with real combat.
Ninjitsu is a joke nowadays. Monkey Kung Fu with no ground training will never beat BJJ, Wing Chun chainpunches are weak and ineffective. And let's not forget that the video is not a well thought critique of the styles, it's a joke.
As far as the race thing goes, the guy is black and from what I've heard him say on other occasions he is quite proud of being black. I don't think a black person is going to look at his black King Kong jokes and be offended. I have black friends and they get a really big kick from race jokes. The only two racist jokes I know were told to me by a black guy, they involve the n word and he thought they were absolutely hilarious.
That's just how the world spins.
