as some of you know from my introduction a short while back i am new to martial arts. i have 6 months of supervised training in hung gar and 6 months of practicing on my own. i have just recently come accross the art of ba gau and i like the style, from what i know and correct me if i'm wrong but i believe this style uses less force on force to be effective. is this correct?

being 41 i am looking for an art i can use proficiently in 5-10 years.

thanks in advance for your replies,

Well....that is true but Bagua is a style based on the strenth and flexability of "the twist". Kinf of like a rope in that the strenth of it is based on the twisting of the strands. Getting in close to someone and then behind them is part of the style as well.
