Calcium

Postby schmo on Fri Nov 13, 2009 3:31 pm

So, I am new to the forum and had a question I'd love to have answered. First and foremost, I recently started the gravel phase after concluding 100 days on the mung beans, if that provides any relevant information to anyone. And of course, yes I do arm circles and the wrist-flicking exercise beforehand, and use jow after the fact. My question is that after all is said and done, I take vitamins, drink a protein shake, and take a calcium supplement. However, episodes of House and whatnot have me paranoid these days about things like calcium deposits chipping off, flying through my body, and lodging in some place that kills me. I of course understand that House is sensationalist BS that is specifically designed to mess with your head to boost ratings, but I still have to wonder what is and isn't possible. I've also heard that the whole "micro-fracture" and "bone density" factor doesn't take place until the iron phase, and right now I'm conditioning muscle/sinew. Can anyone shed a little light on this matter? Do I need to be taking calcium at this phase, or am I simply wasting it? Thoughts?

i personally take coral calcium and vit. d3. yes i personally think you need it. is it nesescary??porbably not.i dought the ancient chinese took calcium supplements, however 300 years ago the soil was much more nutrient rich as well as the wells and water run off. no pullution back then to speak of. so you will not hurt yourself by taking "bioavailable" calcium, not calcium carbonate. try coral calcium. dont watch so much tv,do hand conditioning or qigong instead, you will be much wiser in the end.

i don't think you could die from a bone doing that btw and it probably would not take long to get stuck somewhere, that place being not deadly at all. and if that happened doctors could most likely remove it or give you something for it.

Thank you both for the insight. I knew I was just being paranoid, but needed confirmation.

If you need anymore, you could always ask your doctor about the possibilities.
