Nine Ring Broadsword
The Chinese Broadsword has many variations of its blade shape and length. The 9 Ring Broadsword variation provides steel rings along the dull side of the blade to both create noise (for distraction in combat and showmanship in performance) and to make stab wounds "dirtier". They can also be used to catch opponents' weapons. This 9-ring broadsword is constructed of cold-rolled, chrome-plated steel. The blade is stiff and does not flex.
