Black Snake Samurai Sword Set
The “samurai sword,” or katana, is a popular Japanese sword. Traditionally it is held in very high regard, being considered the “soul of the samurai,” and has been so romanticized that there is no wonder that it has become a favorite among sword collectors. Like the dao, it has an effectively curved blade, but it also has a thick, solid spine for strength and rigidity; an attractive sword that does not overlook the value of an effective design. This particular set made up of the katana ("samurai sword"), the wakizashi (short companion sword to the katana), and the tanto (curved dagger in the style of the katana). This full set, called a "daisho," and the included display stand, make for elegant display of these matching tools of war. The katana is 39 3/4 inches long with a 29 inch blade. The wakizashi is 25 1/4 inches long with a 17 1/2 inch blade. The tanto is 17 inches long with a 10 inch blade.
