History tells of a man who came to Shaolin village by way of India. This man's teachings and exercises, when combined with the pre-existing methods of boxing held at Shaolin, became the seed for Zen Buddhism and modern day Shaolin. Ta Mo’s ever-vigilant gaze reminds us all to persist and persevere in our studies just as it does on the original stone tablet at Shaolin.
