Video Review: The 1st International Eagle
Cup Kung Fu Master's Exhibition 1998 Part II It was Summer Solstice, San Francisco and it was a gathering. But this wasn't the summer of love. This was a gathering of warriors. Shaolin Eagle Claw Sifu Lily Lau had gathered a world caliber collection of Kung Fu masters together to her nest and they came in flocks. Lau Sifu knew who to call. Such a great assemblege of masters have not been seen together in one exhibition in years. Once the president of the Hong Kong Ching Wu Association (Ching Wu is undeniably the largest international Kung Fu Association), Lau Sifu has many old friends who would fly in to support her efforts. We captured this stellar demonstration on video, and proudly bring it to you. Like a Chinese banquet, a wide selection of gourmet performances
are presented. Chen Zhenglai, the grandmaster of Chen style Tai
Chi Chuan, made his first journey to America for this event, although
only a few seemed to know who this reputed master was. Hok Ting
Chu gave a fascinating demo of "quick draw" pressure point
techniques, which was very intimidating considering his extensive
knowledge of Chinese Medicine. Chan Pui wowed everyone with an amazing
split combination in his routine. Meanwhile, his daughter Mimi was
beaming, since it was also opening weekend for Mulan, and she was
Mulan's body double. In order of appearence: Lily Lau, Li Wing Kay, Zhang Hong Mei,
